
Mark Andrewes has been writing and producing music for 25+ years. His tracks have received national radio and TV airplay and have reached the top 10 of the UK club charts several times. In 1999, 'All Time High' by Energia reached the final eight of the BBC's selection process for the UK's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2006 'Get The Freak Out' by Energia was selected to represent the UK in the European music video festival, 'EuroVideo Grand Prix', which was televised in over 20 countries.
After a short break from the music scene, in 2009 Mark decided to specialise in writing music and lyrics for musical theatre. In collaboration with Quite Nice Theatre, the first show 'This Was Your Life' toured the UK in 2012 and 2013. Songs from the show won the Best Original Song award at the Stratford-upon-Avon Fringe Festival for two years running.

In 2013 Mark co-wrote music and lyrics for another show, 'Snakes! The Musical' This hugely popular comedy received numerous five star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and finished the fifth best rated show in the entire festival, out of over 2,000 shows. It was nominated for the prestigious Musical Theatre Network awards, and was praised as a 'cult hit' by musical theatre legend Elaine Paige. This show also revived the 1999 Eurovision song ‘All Time High’.
'Snakes!' returned to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2014, as well as making its international debut in Barcelona. In September 2014 it also made its debut in London's west-end at the Leicester Square Theatre.
‘Immortality’ is Mark’s latest musical, for which he has written the book as well as music and lyrics.
